Events happening this weekend in our beautiful city of Vero Beach and Sebastian

Friday, January 26th – Riverview Park, Sebastian – 5:30-8:00pm…Join us for our 2018 concerts in the Park Series to enjoy an evening of music on the Indian River Lagoon.  Concerts in the Park series features great music and a free raffle during intermission with a chance to win giveaways from the local business community.  The concerts are held at Riverview Park in Sebastian.  Performing this evening is the “20th Street Jazz Band”, (Swing / Jazz)

Friday, 1/26, Saturday, 1/27 and Sunday 1/28 – THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, Riverside Theatre, 3250 Riverside Park Drive.  Winner of five Tony Awards including Best Musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood is based on the unfinished novel by Charles Dickens and was the first musical where the audience determined the ending.  This hilarious and interactive mystery musical tries to solve the murder of the young and charming Edwin Drood.  Was it a romantic rival? The purveyor opium and vice? The newly-arrived twins from the east? Friday, 1/26, Saturday, 1/27 and Sunday 1/28 – Vero Beach Extravaganza – Gems and Jewelry. Vero Beach Extravaganza is a 3 day event being held at the Indian River Fairgrounds in Vero Beach.  This event showcases products like Gems, Minerals, Fossils, Gold, Silver, Antique Jewelry, Pearls, Gemstones – Ruby, Sapphire, Opal, Emerald, Crystals, etc.

Friday, 1/26 – Downtown Friday, 2036 14th Avenue – What is Downtown Friday? A street party with bands, demonstrations during band breaks, street vendors and food vendors.  Downtown Friday is a popular venue for the Historic Downtown District of Vero Beach.  This event is free to attend and is family and dog friendly.  January’s band is “Anderson Council”. The charity of the month is Habitat for Humanity and the Mental Health Association.  Walking Tree Brewery will be on site for craft beer as well as other cocktails available.  The Heritage Center & Citrus Museum will be open during Downtown Friday.  Come out and enjoy music, dancing, shopping, food and join the downtown vibe!

Saturday, 1/26 – DINNER AT “QUILTED GIRAFFE”, Live music with Steve Milligan Band.  500 S US1.  Dinner with live music by Steve Milligan Band.  Enjoy music from the 1950’s to 1990’s, great food and full bar.  Dancing is highly encouraged and appreciated.  For more information call 772.978.4242.
